Love Never Dies: The Phantom & Christine's Duet
This staging of the show made it work
Who is the big girl?
Is this like Tim Burton meets The Devil's Carnival??
Exactly Ljubo! This is why I loved you being at the Newcastle Jets. Not afraid, fearless no matter who! You stood by your ethics and morals and that’s why I always loved to watch you play. I’ll always remember being in my crew seeing you warming up and chanting, then the common ground of the 🤙🤙 back at each other! True saint of the game. And thank you for just being you!
Ben please return as the phantom
This sequence was AMAZING in the US Touring Production. I still don't really _like_ LND, but I really did enjoy it! For all the objectionable things about the show, the sets, costumes, and songs give it a reason to exist. If you get a chance to, seeing it live is definitely worth the cash!
They are amazing...so beautiful
Anna is this generation's Anne Blyth 🥰🥰🥰. And I need to see Ben do this live!
If this video was put online before the opeining night then that's a shame as the poor sound and camerawork don't do it justice and it reveals the whole opening sequence. Talk about trying to steal the thunder!
Is it modified again for NA tour?
Love them watched the film today on you tube!
Tbh London cast was great but the you can definitely see the difference in their production. Since Australian cast was set to be filmed into dvd, of course their production was much grander than that of London's. Everything from costume to props to lighting to stage
Actually it's grand from the beginning and ALW didn't plan to film it. But at that time Universal was there, at RUG. They saw the production and they wanted to film it because of the glorious staging.
The constant clicking annoys me wtf!
Holy HECK was that the Phantom standing on top of the Carousel?? I don't think we get to see this in the DVD version
Yes you do but for a split second; was sad they took it out of the US tour
Just wow! Still haunting and beautiful. Painfully so. 💓
I love this, I wish it would have had a different ending ....saw it in Sydney few years ago .....
Love Ben's voice in this role.
I can't be the only one who wants Mr Y's coat
I want what's in Mr Y's coat! 😄😍😘🤩🤗
Omg no
@@Marylmac you are now my person bc of this comment!
I like love Never Dies only because I like the lyrics and the music but I don't think it didn't top a notch with the original very well which I'm sorry for Andrew Lloyd Webber and writer Ben Elton for writing a sequel that failed in London but the Australian version though it has great taste. I like it.
Nobody could do it as good as Ben Lewis, so far. He has a great breathing technique.
And great cheekbones
@@cendresdutemps6279 No doubt.
Did he ride the chandelier?
This is different than the film version, Ben's acting was normal.
Great video! Love Natalie Gauci and her music!
They absolutely nail this every time! What I truly enjoy about their performance of this song is how you can just feel so many different emotions, love, loss, regret, and reality. Ben's voice is just so raw and very interesting to listen to because he adds a lot of twist to his vocals which is so beautiful to hear. Anna has a very clear and beautiful authentic opera sounding style to listen to. Its crisp and I enjoy it. The best part is when they sing together during the refrain because you have those two very different voices and they blend to make this beautiful harmonious sound that's heaven to my ears. Not to mention the acting is great. 11 out of 10 stars for the Aussie cast/production of LND.
Ben Lewis, a beautiful heroic tenor.
Ok
I can not be the only fan of Ben and Anna around here. Please my fellow fans. If you are out there. Help show your support for these incredible actors and vocalists!
Anna <3 Like Ben more in LND, too
They were made for these roles 😘
Princess Jones So lovely to meet another fan of Ben and Anna. :)
Silver54ful The pleasure is all mine : )
Princess Jones If you ever happen upon any other videos of either performer. Chances are very high you will spot me in the commentary section. Always feel free to say hello. I could rave about either for days. :)
I have the dvd which I love so much but seeing this it's just amazing! It has a energy which on dvd hasn't.
@NewElizaD i have the dvd too but i really wish i could have watches this in real life but i was only 2 years at that time but i have the dvd and this version is amazing
WOW...
Does anyone else see the picture of christine move?
Yes!! Bless you-I thought I was going crazy!! Lol
Ben and Anna ..... really fantastic I could not see this great musical .... sad Ben is the best Phantom for me. very large, dark eyes and very great voice. he is dangerous and sensitive. gives me goosebumps. I hope he is the phantom sing again.

As much as I hate Love Never Dies (fOR MANY REASONS), the stage direction really is mind-blowing. If it had a better story, this would defs be my fave musical.
What!? It's amazing! (Except for the end) but I guess that's your opinion....
As for the comparisons...remember when Ramin was playing the role it was still being developed throughout his run. Ben walked into something more complete.
kamwrites It's reworked by the Australian team.
kamwrites Besides that, Ben Lewis is a heldentenor.
that is one of the coolest stages I've ever seen
Ben Lewis is a great Phantom I saw Love Never Dies when it was on TV and my aunt bought me the DVD at Best Buy for my birthday! Then the next day I got the gift set of The Phantom of the Opera wich came with the original London cast album of the original Phantom starring Michael Crawford and it even came with the original cast of Love Never Dies. This was a great sequel!
Where can I find a DVD/blu ray version of the original LND cast? I've been looking around for some time but I've found nothing.
Ben and Anna are the best Phantom and Christine ever
I prefer Ben. He is better phantom
This was amazing ^_^!!!!!
Obviously the Australian one
He speaks with a lisp. And he once mentioned going to gay discos, but I thought he was joking. Is he actually gay?
Ivan.. Ivan. Was he that other skinny guy with gingerish hair?
James. Did you go to his school too? I remember him acting tough but then someone kicked him in the nose and he cried. This was yr 8 or 9.
This guy went to my high school. He was a skinny little shit back then.
This is a really, really good interview! Thanks for posting!
Woah, what a powerful voice!! XD Go Ben!!
Breathtaking.....
Australia kicked ass with LND. So much better than the London!
That's your opinion
It was. No doubt.
True but london was still great
@@typesfaen2544 No idea.
FIRST! btw love smash mouth.
what i did was to think of LND as its own musical not as much as a sequel to Phantom and i agree about sierra she's awesome and has so much emotion
I love this musical. Anna and Ben are really good.
